Your children will adore this easy-to-make boat that really floats! Simply download, colour and cut.

1. Find yourself a small juice box and drink up all the juice. Cut one third off the top of a bamboo skewer and push the pointy end into the centre of the juice box. Don't push so hard it pops through the other side!

2. Print the template on the thickest A4 paper available.

3. Colour in all the pieces and carefully cut them out.

4. Fold the sails down the centre, then wrap around the skewer and glue.

5. Fold the top of the boat's sides over, and fold back again. Glue the back of the white flap onto the top of the juice box.

6. Fold flaps under cat and owl and position on the boat. Glue into place.

Note The boat sides should sit above the base of the box, so they don't touch the water!

This project was created for House & Garden magazine by multidisciplinary design firm MAKE.
