On a wet Tuesday afternoon, Senior Stylist Jess and I were transported to Sydney Harbour's floating bar, The Island, for the launch of Paola Lenti's new outdoor furniture collection. The weather may have been miserable but Lenti's colourful world of design is far from drab. The collection, now in-store at DeDeCe, ranges from ottomans and armchairs to stunning modular sofas and thick textured rugs, poufs, platforms and luxurious sun beds, all set against a lush green backdrop by Garden Life, and the varying grey-green shades of the harbour.

Nibbling on delicious bites by Pica Pica Catering, invited designers swung on the Wabi Sofa and nestled into oversized armchairs for the afternoon, proof perfect of Paola Lenti's singular aesthetic; comfort and longevity.

The striking rugs were a hit, the first thing I spot as we walk in. The combination of vibrant colour and woven textures is beautifully harmonious.

High tech 'works of art' they are durable and resistant to water and UV rays, so you can comfortably leave them on your patio, verandah or pool deck.

The yarns and fabrics dyed exclusively for the luxury brand, and in hues created only by Paola Lenti, who regularly sets the pace in colour at the upcoming Milan Furniture Fair.
